Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal remain on course for a semi-final clash at the Indian Wells Masters, while Dominic Thiem and Milos Raonic also won.
Federer and Nadal continued to cruise at the ATP 1000 event in California, again winning in straight sets on Wednesday.
They are a round away from meeting for the 39th time in their illustrious careers, and for a fourth time at Indian Wells.
Fellow seeds Thiem and Raonic have quietly reached the quarter-finals, also easing through their matches.
FEDERER OUTCLASSES EDMUND
A five-time champion at Indian Wells, Federer's first meeting with Kyle Edmund was straightforward, claiming a 6-1 6-4 win.
The 20-time grand slam winner has lost just 18 games in his three victories at the tournament so far.
To set up a possible clash with Nadal, Federer must get past Hubert Hurkacz, the Pole continuing his surprise run with an upset 7-6 (7-3) 2-6 6-3 win over 24th seed Denis Shapovalov.
NO PROBLEMS FOR NADAL
Nadal needed almost 90 minutes to get through, beating qualifier Filip Krajinovic 6-3 6-4.
Such has been his ruthlessness, the Spanish three-time champion's run to the last eight has seen him lose just 13 games.
He will next face Karen Khachanov, who got the better of John Isner 6-4 7-6 (7-1).
THIEM, RAONIC IMPRESS
Thiem ended the run of 40-year-old Croatian Ivo Karlovic courtesy of a 6-4 6-3 victory.
The Austrian seventh seed managed to break once in each set, while losing just seven points on serve for the match.
Thiem will face Gael Monfils, who produced a fine display to thrash Novak Djokovic's conqueror Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-0 6-2 in under an hour.
Raonic sent down 12 aces in his 6-4 6-3 win over German Jan-Lennard Struff to set up a clash with lucky loser Miomir Kecmanovic, the Serbian teenager progressing when Yoshihito Nishioka retired after losing the first set 6-4.
